A boutique architecture practice out in Greater Western Sydney is on the hunt for a seasoned Technical Architect (Registered) to join their tight-knit team. This studio lives and breathes high-end residential architecture — think one-off, beautifully crafted houses where the detailing really matters. They’re all about technical precision, rock-solid documentation, and making sure what’s drawn is what gets built.

At present, my client is seeking a highly technical-focused Architect who’s obsessed with how buildings go together, loves solving tricky details, and takes pride in delivering top-notch documentation. While the practice itself doesn’t design multi-residential projects, they’re keen on candidates who’ve either worked on high-end single houses or complex multi-residential buildings — because the skill set translates beautifully. This isn’t volume home-builder stuff — it’s bespoke, detail-rich architecture.

In the role as Technical Architect (Registered), you’ll be:

Leading the charge on documentation for custom, high-end houses

Solving complex construction details and making sure drawings are bulletproof

Coordinating with consultants, builders, and clients — you’re the safe pair of hands

Applying your technical know-how to ensure the design vision is delivered without compromise

Staying sharp on the BCA/NCC and all the relevant Aussie Standards

Sharing your experience and helping mentor younger team members

Working confidently in Revit and maintaining rigorous documentation standards
In the role as Technical Architect (Registered), we require you to have the following minimum experience:

Minimum 12-15+ years post-grad experience
-
Registered Architect in NSW (or eligible to register)
-
Proven experience in either high-end single residential projects or multi-residential (not volume home building)

A solid track record in detailing and construction documentation
-
Revit fluency — this is non-negotiable
-
Excellent communicator who can handle clients, consultants, and site teams with ease

Strong knowledge of Australian building codes, standards, and construction methods
-
Based in Sydney, with full working rights in Australia and extensive local experience required.
